¹이제 제삼십년 사월 곧 그 달 오일 내가 그발 강가에서 포로들 가운데 있을 때에 하늘들이 열리며 하나님의 환상들이 내게 보이니라. Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month , in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.

²여호야긴 왕이 포로가 된 지 오 년이 되던 해 그 달 오일에 In the fifth day of the month, which was the fifth year of king Jehoiachin’s captivity,

³갈대아 사람들의 땅에 있는 그발 강가에서 주의 말씀이 부시의 아들 제사장 에스겔에게 특별히 임하였고 거기서 주의 손이 그 위에 있더라. The word of the LORD came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of the LORD was there upon him.

⁴¶내가 보니, 보라, 북쪽에서 회오리바람과 큰 구름과 스스로를 감싸고 있는 불이 왔는데 그것의 주변에 광채가 있었으며 그것의 한가운데 곧 그 불의 한가운데로부터 호박색을 띤 것 같은 것이 나오고 And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.

⁵또 그것의 한가운데로부터 살아 있는 네 창조물의 모습이 나오더라. 그들의 모양이 이러하니 곧 그들이 사람의 모습을 가졌더라. Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.

⁶그들이 각각 네 얼굴을 가졌고 각각 네 날개를 가졌더라. And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.

⁷그들의 발은 곧은 발이요, 그들의 발바닥은 송아지 발바닥 같더라. 그들이 빛나는 놋 같은 색깔로 빛을 내더라. And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf’s foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass.

⁸또 그들이 그들의 네 측면에 있는 그들의 날개들 밑에 사람의 손들을 가지고 있더라. 그들 넷이 얼굴과 날개를 가졌는데 And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings.

⁹그들의 날개들은 서로 연결되어 있더라. 그들이 갈 때에는 돌이키지 아니하며 각각 앞으로 곧게 나아가더라. Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.

¹⁰그들의 얼굴 모습으로 말하건대 그들 넷이 사람의 얼굴과 오른쪽으로 사자의 얼굴을 가졌으며 또 왼쪽으로 소의 얼굴을 가졌고 또 독수리의 얼굴을 가졌더라. As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.

¹¹그들의 얼굴이 이러하더라. 또 그들의 날개들은 위로 펼쳐졌는데 각각의 두 날개는 서로 연결되어 있고 두 개는 그들의 몸을 덮었더라. Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.

¹²그들이 각각 앞으로 곧게 나아갔고 그 영이 가고자 하는 곳으로 그들이 가되 갈 때에는 돌이키지 아니하더라. And they went every one straight forward: whither the spirit was to go, they went; and they turned not when they went.

¹³살아 있는 창조물들의 모습으로 말하건대 그들의 모양은 불타는 숯 같고 등불 모양과도 같더라. 그것이 그 살아 있는 창조물들 가운데서 오르락내리락하였는데 그 불은 밝으며 그 불에서부터 번개가 나오더라. As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.

¹⁴또 그 살아 있는 창조물들이 달려갔다 돌아오는 것은 마치 번개가 번쩍이며 나타나는 것 같더라. And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning.

¹⁵¶이제 내가 그 살아 있는 창조물들을 보니, 보라, 그의 네 얼굴과 함께 그 살아 있는 창조물들 옆에 땅 위에 한 바퀴가 있더라. Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold one wheel upon the earth by the living creatures, with his four faces.

¹⁶그 바퀴들의 외모와 구조는 녹주석 색깔을 띤 것 같은데 그것들 넷이 한 모습을 가졌더라. 그것들의 외모와 구조는 마치 한 바퀴의 한가운데에 한 바퀴가 있는 것 같더라. The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.

¹⁷그들이 갈 때에는 자기들의 네 측면으로 가되 그들이 갈 때에는 돌이키지 아니하더라. When they went, they went upon their four sides: and they turned not when they went.

¹⁸그것들의 테들로 말하건대 그것들은 심히 높아서 무서웠으며 그것들의 테들에는 그것들 넷의 사방으로 눈이 가득하더라. As for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes round about them four.

¹⁹그 살아 있는 창조물들이 갈 때에는 그 바퀴들도 그들 곁에서 갔고 그 살아 있는 창조물들이 땅에서 들리면 그 바퀴들도 들리더라. And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.

²⁰그 영이 어디로 가고자 하든지 그것들도 자기들의 영이 가고자 하는 곳으로 갔고 그 바퀴들도 그들을 마주하여 들렸으니 이는 살아 있는 창조물의 영이 바퀴들 안에 있었기 때문이더라. Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went, thither was their spirit to go; and the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.

²¹그들이 가면 이것들도 갔고 그들이 서면 이것들도 섰으며 그들이 땅에서 들리면 바퀴들도 그들을 마주하여 들렸으니 이는 살아 있는 창조물의 영이 바퀴들 안에 있었기 때문이더라. When those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.

²²그 살아 있는 창조물의 머리들 위에 있는 궁창의 모습은 무서운 수정 색깔 같았으며 그들의 머리들 위로 펼쳐져 있더라. And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.

²³그 궁창 밑에는 그들의 날개들이 서로를 향해 곧게 펴져 있었는데 그들이 각각 두 날개를 가지고 그것들로 이쪽에서 덮었으며 또 각각 두 날개를 가지고 그것들로 저쪽에서 자기들의 몸을 덮었더라. And under the firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two, which covered on this side, and every one had two, which covered on that side, their bodies.

²⁴그들이 갈 때에 내가 그들의 날개 소리를 들었는데 그것은 큰물들의 소리와도 같고 전능자의 음성 곧 말하는 음성과도 같으며 군대의 떠드는 소리와도 같더라. 그들이 설 때에는 자기 날개들을 내렸더라. And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings.

²⁵그들이 서서 자기 날개들을 내렸을 때에 그들의 머리들 위에 있던 궁창에서부터 음성이 나더라. And there was a voice from the firmament that was over their heads, when they stood, and had let down their wings.

²⁶¶그들의 머리들 위에 있던 궁창 위에 사파이어 돌 같은 모양의 왕좌의 모습이 있었고 그 왕좌의 모습 위에는 위로 그것 위에 사람의 모양을 닮은 모습이 있더라. And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.

²⁷또 내가 보니 그분의 허리 모양으로부터 위는 마치 속에서 사방으로 불타는 불의 모양과도 같았고 호박색과도 같았으며 내가 보니 그분의 허리 모양으로부터 아래는 마치 불의 모양 같았고 그것이 사방에 광채를 가지고 있더라. And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.

²⁸사방으로 퍼지는 그 광채의 모양은 비 오는 날 구름 속에 있는 무지개 모양 같았더라. 이것은 주의 영광의 모습을 가진 모양이더라. 내가 그것을 볼 때에 얼굴을 대고 엎드려 말씀하신 분의 음성을 들으니라. As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD . And when I saw it , I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.
