2네가 힘 없는 자를 참 잘도 도와 주는구나 기력 없는 팔을 참 잘도 구원하여 주는구나How hast thou helped him that is without power? how savest thou the arm that hath no strength?
3지혜 없는 자를 참 잘도 가르치는구나 큰 지식을 참 잘도 자랑하는구나How hast thou counselled him that hath no wisdom? and how hast thou plentifully declared the thing as it is?
4네가 누구를 향하여 말하느냐 누구의 정신이 네게서 나왔느냐To whom hast thou uttered words? and whose spirit came from thee?
5죽은 자의 영들이 물 밑에서 떨며 물에서 사는 것들도 그러하도다Dead things are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof.
6하나님 앞에서는 스올도 벗은 몸으로 드러나며 멸망도 가림이 없음이라Hell is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering.
7그는 북쪽을 허공에 펴시며 땅을 아무것도 없는 곳에 매다시며He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.
8물을 빽빽한 구름에 싸시나 그 밑의 구름이 찢어지지 아니하느니라He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them.
9그는 보름달을 가리시고 자기의 구름을 그 위에 펴시며He holdeth back the face of his throne, and spreadeth his cloud upon it.
10수면에 경계를 그으시니 빛과 어둠이 함께 끝나는 곳이니라He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.
11그가 꾸짖으신즉 하늘 기둥이 흔들리며 놀라느니라The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.
12그는 능력으로 바다를 잔잔하게 하시며 지혜로 라합을 깨뜨리시며He divideth the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud.
13그의 입김으로 하늘을 맑게 하시고 손으로 날렵한 뱀을 무찌르시나니By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.
14보라 이런 것들은 그의 행사의 단편일 뿐이요 우리가 그에게서 들은 것도 속삭이는 소리일 뿐이니 그의 큰 능력의 우렛소리를 누가 능히 헤아리랴Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?
