24욥기 · 개역개정
1어찌하여 전능자는 때를 정해 놓지 아니하셨는고 그를 아는 자들이 그의 날을 보지 못하는고 Why, seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, do they that know him not see his days?
2어떤 사람은 땅의 경계표를 옮기며 양 떼를 빼앗아 기르며 Some remove the landmarks; they violently take away flocks, and feed thereof .
3고아의 나귀를 몰아 가며 과부의 소를 볼모 잡으며 They drive away the ass of the fatherless, they take the widow’s ox for a pledge.
4가난한 자를 길에서 몰아내나니 세상에서 학대 받는 자가 다 스스로 숨는구나 They turn the needy out of the way: the poor of the earth hide themselves together.
5그들은 거친 광야의 들나귀 같아서 나가서 일하며 먹을 것을 부지런히 구하니 빈 들이 그들의 자식을 위하여 그에게 음식을 내는구나 Behold, as wild asses in the desert, go they forth to their work; rising betimes for a prey: the wilderness yieldeth food for them and for their children.
6밭에서 남의 꼴을 베며 악인이 남겨 둔 포도를 따며 They reap every one his corn in the field: and they gather the vintage of the wicked.
7의복이 없어 벗은 몸으로 밤을 지내며 추워도 덮을 것이 없으며 They cause the naked to lodge without clothing, that they have no covering in the cold.
8산중에서 만난 소나기에 젖으며 가릴 것이 없어 바위를 안고 있느니라 They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and embrace the rock for want of a shelter.
9어떤 사람은 고아를 어머니의 품에서 빼앗으며 가난한 자의 옷을 볼모 잡으므로 They pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a pledge of the poor.
10그들이 옷이 없어 벌거벗고 다니며 곡식 이삭을 나르나 굶주리고 They cause him to go naked without clothing, and they take away the sheaf from the hungry;
11그 사람들의 담 사이에서 기름을 짜며 목말라 하면서 술 틀을 밟느니라 Which make oil within their walls, and tread their winepresses, and suffer thirst.
12성 중에서 죽어가는 사람들이 신음하며 상한 자가 부르짖으나 하나님이 그들의 참상을 보지 아니하시느니라 Men groan from out of the city, and the soul of the wounded crieth out: yet God layeth not folly to them .
13또 광명을 배반하는 사람들은 이러하니 그들은 그 도리를 알지 못하며 그 길에 머물지 아니하는 자라 They are of those that rebel against the light; they know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof.
14사람을 죽이는 자는 밝을 때에 일어나서 학대 받는 자나 가난한 자를 죽이고 밤에는 도둑 같이 되며 The murderer rising with the light killeth the poor and needy, and in the night is as a thief.
15간음하는 자의 눈은 저물기를 바라며 아무 눈도 나를 보지 못하리라 하고 얼굴을 가리며 The eye also of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight, saying, No eye shall see me: and disguiseth his face.
16어둠을 틈타 집을 뚫는 자는 낮에는 잠그고 있으므로 광명을 알지 못하나니 In the dark they dig through houses, which they had marked for themselves in the daytime: they know not the light.
17그들은 아침을 죽음의 그늘 같이 여기니 죽음의 그늘의 두려움을 앎이니라 For the morning is to them even as the shadow of death: if one know them, they are in the terrors of the shadow of death.
18그들은 물 위에 빨리 흘러가고 그들의 소유는 세상에서 저주를 받나니 그들이 다시는 포도원 길로 다니지 못할 것이라 He is swift as the waters; their portion is cursed in the earth: he beholdeth not the way of the vineyards.
19가뭄과 더위가 눈 녹은 물을 곧 빼앗나니 스올이 범죄자에게도 그와 같이 하느니라 Drought and heat consume the snow waters: so doth the grave those which have sinned.
20모태가 그를 잊어버리고 구더기가 그를 달게 먹을 것이라 그는 다시 기억되지 않을 것이니 불의가 나무처럼 꺾이리라 The womb shall forget him; the worm shall feed sweetly on him; he shall be no more remembered; and wickedness shall be broken as a tree.
21그는 임신하지 못하는 여자를 박대하며 과부를 선대하지 아니하는도다 He evil entreateth the barren that beareth not: and doeth not good to the widow.
22그러나 하나님이 그의 능력으로 강포한 자들을 끌어내시나니 일어나는 자는 있어도 살아남을 확신은 없으리라 He draweth also the mighty with his power: he riseth up, and no man is sure of life.
23하나님은 그에게 평안을 주시며 지탱해 주시나 그들의 길을 살피시도다 Though it be given him to be in safety, whereon he resteth; yet his eyes are upon their ways.
24그들은 잠깐 동안 높아졌다가 천대를 받을 것이며 잘려 모아진 곡식 이삭처럼 되리라 They are exalted for a little while, but are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way as all other , and cut off as the tops of the ears of corn.
25가령 그렇지 않을지라도 능히 내 말을 거짓되다고 지적하거나 내 말을 헛되게 만들 자 누구랴 And if it be not so now, who will make me a liar, and make my speech nothing worth?
